If You’re Concerned Your Child May Be Addicted To Video Games….. Don’t Dismiss It As A Phase

I was surprised to read about how game developers work to get you addicted to games. Gaming Addictions affect everyone around you, and can affect you mentally and physically. If you think you have a problem or someone close to you has said something, read this book, it will help!

Reading through this book I was able to recognize signs of addiction and steps that I could take to control my addiction. There is a 12?step process that the book walks you through and it works. You don’t have to be ashamed, you are not alone. Use this book to deal with and you’ll be able to play games for entertainment and find your limits.

I know you might be thinking that you’re sick of hearing people nag you about the amount of time you spend playing video games, but I promise I will only take a minute of your time.

Game addiction is slippery to define…..It happens without anyone noticing. Gaming is harmless at first.

You may think your gaming habits are harmless and you only play a couple of times a day but in 2013 there will be a new disorder called Video Game Addiction added to the DSA.

The DSA is a major clinical tool used by psychiatrists and psychologists to diagnose mental health disorders.

My name is Gregory and I’m a parent with a age son who used to stay in his room for up to 4 hours straight playing an online video game.

I started to get concerned when he was skipping meals and got angry when I asked him to help out around the house.

I was skeptical about purchasing this book, I didn’t think it could help but after reading it I am certain my son had a video-gaming addiction.

I was able to recognize the signs and follow the steps to help get him back integrated with family life.

I monitored his behavior physical, emotional and behavioral over a period of time and then spent countless hours poring over the internet to try to find information about this topic.

I spent thousands of dollars researching and talking with experts and decided if I’m having problems then maybe others are too.

I wanted to share ways that can help them not necessarily stop playing but limiting play to a more healthy level.

In this book you will find targeted advice on gaming addiction, as well as information about coping with a loved one’s addiction.

You can use the strategies presented in this eBook to discover new ways to cope with life’s difficulties.  It explores the many factors to consider when deciding how much time spent on video gaming is SAFE.

Well now that information is available, finally you don’t have to wonder any more about your gaming habits or those of a loved one.

This book is a revealing look into the deep underbelly of gaming addiction written by someone who has been down the spiral and hit rock bottom.

“I have the experience of owning a farm that is not possible for me in real life,” says one addict, hooked to an online game that enables gamers to build and run their own farm.  The game requires that players return every couple of hours to “tend to their crops” and “feed their animals.” She plays on an average for 5 hours each day, including at work and before going to sleep. “I ask my fiancé to harvest the crops if I don’t have access to the internet,” she adds.

My subtle hints on his poor hygiene don’t seem to work. Are his poor concentration skills a by-product of this addiction?

I am fearful this is the case.  Sporadically he seems to openly admit to spending far too much time, money and energy on something was once a harmless hobby.

It has slowly almost imperceptibly gone beyond a harmless fun time to an all-encomp ing pastime and sadly now into the realm of, well……..it almost seems he is a puppet to a force much stronger than he…….I just don’t know who is actually driving his bus anymore…

The difference between habit and addiction is that habit is a matter of choice, whereas an addiction is something that leaves you with a feeling of agitation, sadness or anger if not applied.

Hence, you can easily control a habit, whereas an addiction may require a certain amount of effort and therapy to overcome.

Help!! My son is addicted to games…..WHAT DO I DO? What to do if your friend doesn’t socialize with you anymore, your boyfriend… Read more…
